Muffler cement

quick random question. got a small blow out at joint of manifold to middle section. Have put a nice coting of "muffler cement" around the wire ring and tightened it back up. But how long does it have to sit before its hardened or whatever it does as the instructions on the tube are in french or something.

Just slap it on, and run the engine till the exhaust heat dries it.
I dont think it dries until the exhaust gets hot.

Leave the engine idle to get the exhaust hot because if you rev it before it dries it will just blow the paste off.
