The L 3.1 Jetronic in a nova GTE (E16SE engine) has a socket with a little chip is it possible to change it, to change the map?

It seems that L3.1 Jetronic is an analogic management, and doesn't have a microcontroler, so there is no EPROM or ROM containing a map
Perhaps what I say is wrong
