Did you hear any clanging/rattling metal when it snapped?

Stick a new belt on, time it up, and turn the key, you never know.

There was!
I've seen a 1400 8v bend 2 valves when the belt went at 30mph(3K rpm)

Its usually just luck whether it damages anything.

Unless its a 16v engine, then its pretty much fooked if the belt goes.
