i`ve seen a few novas on here with a euro style passenger side taillight. how do you make the white from the reverse light shine through the red?

I have a euro cluster, i just made it a fog light and have no reverse light. Reverse light Not needed for mot anyway.

Nope, the police can only go but what is required by law, and there is no legal requirement for a car to have a reverse light.

i bought my 2 sets from german sellers on ebay

Another option is to get a proper Euro Cluster and have twin reverse and a seperate fog like me.

How is that anymore 'proper' euro than a twin fog?

I meant not just a painted reverse light on the cluster.

sprayed red CAN look ok sometimes, and the bonus is the reverselight will be nearly white (a pinky glow) - however to get a clean look, a euro fog is the best way. Twin reverse adds a third colour so still looks odd. and you need to mess around adding a fog sumwhere, which will usually look untidy.

got to Agree with you Loggy, although i have mine a red reverse. the copper that gave me a friendly light check a few years back commented about it but seeing as its not displaying any other colour than the Red, Yellow/amber or white lights he couldnt do much!

I'd agree loggy that twin fog looks better on a standard car but its easy to make a feature out of a seperate fog light with an aftermarket bumper.

I prefer the look of having the twin reverse clusters on the car, but converting the bulbs to twin fog. Just use LED ones so they stay clear when not in use but shine red when on - thats how I had my saloon.

Twin reverse with Pug 206 fog:

That is the most common solution but IMO it doesnt suit at all.
I'm using an MK2 astra fog.

Should hopefully fit it this weekend so I'll take some pics.

Nope, the pug light looks aweful, doesn't suit the Nova at all imo...

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere in an MOT manual that a foglight has to be offset to the drivers side... but then if thats the case, how does the 206 get thru an MOT

I hope not lol.
Mines gonna be in the centre.... might have to befriend an easy going mot tester.

New mini is also in centre i think.

the fog light should be either be on boths sides, centred or to the drivers side.
However if you had a LHD nova i doubt it would fail the MoT if you hadnt swapped it round. unless you had a REALLY picky moter
