I fitted a 1.3 engine in my Nova to replace my knackered 1.2, but I had a fully re-built head for a 1.2
I asked, and was told that the 1.2 head is exactly the same as the 1.3 head, so I fitted it to my 1.3 engine.
There's no difference between them - see the spec in the Haynes Manual.
The camshaft is different of course, with the 1.3 cam having a higher lift (6.0mm instead of 5.1-inlet and 5.5-outlet for the 1.2)
Like pukka-novasr said though - the 1.4 head is different.
The 1.4 has a compression ratio of 9.4:1 for the 14NV and C14NZ, 10.0:1 up to 93 model year with breaker-less ignition and 9.1:1 for 93 onward, with the Direct Ignition System module, whilst the 1.2 and 1.3 are both 9.2:1

Has anyone tried fitting a 1.3 cam into a 1.2 engine BTW?
If so....any difference?
