whilst back from uni this summer i'm working at an electrical engineering company, and i was working today and found out they have a press which they use to put vents in the metal panel doors like this:

i was thinking of trying to have some pressed into a spare bonnet i have at the front left over the airfilter in my gte. going to fit a k & n so cold air would aid.
apparently tho, they can press them into the bonnet because it's curved. does anyone know anywhere in hertforshire that do it?
cheers
Couldnt you just press some into a piece of metal then smooth them into you bonnet?

yeh... but it will only eventually crack. i want to rally the car when i go back to uni, so i want it pressed into the bonnet really.

Why not press them into a spare bonnet. Nothing to lose & I bet the bonnet isnt as curved as they might think.
I had mine welded in, used the vents from a Golf bonnet.

i could get them to press it into a peice of metal and then weld it in but can't be a***d with the hassle of grinding a smoothing.
i have a spare glacier white bonnet that was gonna get the vents pressed into anyway and then get sprayed. or leave white, might make up a light pod from fibreglass and then just use it for rallying.
