ive decided to try and fix the fdront panel damage to my mk1 nova but i thought id ask about it here first
does anyone have 1 for sale?
are they hard to fit?
and do you have to remove the radiator?

yes you will have to remove the radiator, it won't sit on thin air

its called patten parts, and loads of spot welds covered in ****e lol

which bit is it eaxactly, ive got a spare lower panel/crossmember ?

If its the lower section (the whole bit) you will need to get properly welded as its a structural part. Thats the bit I recently replaced on mine - although you can buy skins for them.

If its the upper section - then its a wad of spot welds all round the sides and on the inner wings and lower panel.

You any good with a welder? Should get it welded really - its not the kind of think you can bodge on with filler. Although if youre handy with a rivet gun and some liquid metal (special fixative) you can use that instead...that's what I'm planning anyway - but then I have to rebuild mine from pretty much scratch and make my own design due to the lights I'm fitting (see styling).

i used to work in a bodyshop and i guess it can br quite tricky if you dont know what your doing or you dotn have the right tools im sure it wouldnt cost that much to let some whos good at the job do it for you

you mean the bit with the big Rust spot!

what ever you do dont buy patern parts they are ****! i thought my new wings would fit piss easy how wrong was i! good job it was going in the bodyshop and they had to cut them about to make them fit!

I wouldn't bother repairing it mate. Just rub it back then slap on some hammerite.

Spend the money you would have spent on the repair and parts on a full bumper and new grill. Can pick up GTE stuff for not a lot of money.

iirc the front legs are bent and it needs to be jigged
