Hi i was wondering if anyone is suffering the same as me.
I have a 1.3SR which runs fine until it hits rain or snow etc, when it gets so far then starts to shake i loose revvs in any gear and it will eventually die. If i leave it for 15-20min then try it it will start {Not b4}. However i then have to rev at redline to clear out the "watery" noise it makes and it will b ok for a while and it will do the same again and again!!!! If ne1 has ne ideas on curing the prob please mail me. Thanx Sam :-}

the carb could also be icing up. try leaving it to tick over my usually revs lumpy uintil the ice clears and then the revs settle, then its usually ok to drive for hours.

Its gonna b ur dizzy m8! Take off ur dizzy cap, and clean the contacts for a start! Spray some WD40, or water repelent in there, then put in back on. Spray some more WD40 on the dizzy end of the leads, and on ur coil! Try not to spray too much on ur engine or paintwork!! If u still have probs, try gettin a newer dizzy module from ur scrappy. Its just held on by 2 small botls inside ur dizzy!

I had this same kind of problem (see my post from a few weeks ago).
It was fine in the cold, so not the carb freezing, and only happened in the wet.
I ditched the spark-plus heat-shield thingies, then cleaned all the ignition bits - coil, leads, dizzy - before spraying them with "Holts Damp Start".
I've not had the problem since!
