Hi all ive just bought a gsi with a 2.0 16vengine in it its has been declared on the log book.
Ive just been on my insurance company and entered the reg number and it finds it as a 1.6gsi still and other online companys do the same.....

How do i go about getting it insured ???

thanks
in advance for any help on this matter

phone the companies... of course it wont register on the insurance database like that as the nova NEVER came with a 2.0 as std...

also... INSURANCE FORUM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!!!

You give them the reg number, and say a 2L 16v engine has been fitted.

what you can do (if 19+..... i hope so)

google HIC and use their website for a quote as it caters for modded engines and stuff like that.

good luck

i pay ?350 for my XE at 23 (5yrs ncb)

Will, is your XE insured with HIC? I'm guessing you're using your NCB on it?

I got a quote for a XE, aged 20, 2yrs NCB.
?880

That was with HIC, quite good i thought, seeing as i paid ?1100 to insure a 1.2spin in my first year of driving,Lol.

Do HIC do classic insurance though? If I got a Nova, I'd insure it as a classic on 5-6k miles, just to keep some mileage off the Celica. And iirc that would leave my NCB free to keep on the Celica.

Preferably I'd want either a GSi or GTE, or XE... I don't think I'd want to drive another 1.2 alongside the Celica, it was bad enough running the Saloon at the same time for a while lol

HIC do do classic insurance and its very good ive got my reno 5 gt insured with them on limited miles agreed value of 7.5k all mods declared and i pay 420 pounds

im 22 and that with no NCB

I didnt really want to swap insurance company with the nova as ive only got 2 more months to go for another years ncb on a diff policy and if i swap ile lose it.

nope insurance is with highway which both HIC and FLUX deal with lots, HICs best with highway was ?400 or so and FLUX best was ?350, lol

yeh i used all my NCB as my other car (new mini) is a work car and company insured......
