Nice yeah, until you look in the battery tray!! Bough for ?300 with x2 brand new front wings, and x2 new headlights!

The lights now live on my SR, the wings were sold for ?20 each and i robbed the ally strut brace of it and sold it for ?50 on ebay, and then sold the car for ?300 in march!!

All in all a good days work :thumb:

im personaly not too sure mate, but all i know is whell re-furb places do dimond cutting (or can get it done) as i was thinking of getting my whole wheels done.

you could probably do it your self i would of thought, you'd just need to polish them loads i recon. but doubt you get the same finish as dimond cutting.

You could probably get a fairly good finish with a dremel.
They come with small grinding wheels. As for polishing, you could use metal polish. The more you polish it the more it will shine. Dont forget to coat it with clear lacquer afterwards.

This is the cheap option though and might not last.

would the quailty/amout of laquer help...

the car will be getting sprayed with glassrit(sp) laquer an i was thinking of using it on the wheels also...

has anybody on here tried this way before??? tips etc would be handy..

unless diamond cutting is cheaper than im thinkin...i hear diamond an ?????s start flashing up lol

thanks again..:thumb:

its best to spend the money for the good job
my company manufacteurs the machines that polish and refub alloys and to get a good finish is best left to someone who knows

I'll be doing this but not the diamond cutting way.

If youre any good with a spray gun its just clever masking.

remove the rubber and clen up the wheel - removing old paint.
prime and spray the whole in chrome/silver (whatever the rim will be
key the centre section and mask off the rim
spray the centre section in anthracite
remove mask
lacquer several times...

alternatively spray the entire wheel anthracite then sand the edge down to the alloy and polish - then lacquer.

Either way finish on lacquer - and build up layers for strong finish and to seal the paint/edges.
