5th Gear Trouble

The only way i can get into 5th is by pressing the gear stick down (as you would to put it in reverse!). Does any one know what the problem is and how 2 sort it?

I have tried tw@ting it and that seems to sort it for about 3 - 4 changes, but then back to its old ways!

It sounds like your gears need lining up like mine do apparently there is a pin type thing on the box that u have to do something with, really technical me u know :)
I am getting mine done by a garage it should be cheap enough to sort out.

Sounds like the gearchange linkage is worn, damaged or just out of adjustment.

your gear linkage mite b worn - mine was but i couldnt get reverse, when i took it to the garage the bloke had a look at it and something fell off.

My old 1.3SR had the same problem, the thing is, it was a cut N shut! bastard!
