Number Plate And reseves light

My Nova falied MOT on them, i have changed the bulbs but they still dnt work?


any ideas?:confused:

Check the connections on the number plate light, they always corrode/come loose.

Check the reverse light switch on the front of the gearbox.

erm you dont need a reverse light for an mot, mine doesnt work and it passed fine. as for number plate as ad said it will be a dodgy conection or bulb

Reverse lights don't get checked on an MOT. You need a number plate light though

yea well the guy it failed coz no reverse light and nuber plate light

if you have a reverse light it has to work , if you dont have one eg have twin fog fitted then it doesnt need one

well mine has never worked on any car ive had lol! and theyve all passed,

just checked with my freind whos an inspector and he said doesnt need to work

Ye, reverse light aint tested, even if fitted.
Only rear reflectors, fog, and usual brake lights.

rear wipers aren't part of the test either, along with reverse lights, they are considered as a conveinience item
