depends how you intend to do boost control..... eg on the main ecu or with something like an apexi etc.

DTA S60
i think you need the higher spec MBE for boost control
Motec
Emerald

all about ?500-1200 ish... Id really talk with the place that you want to set it up and find out what they are happiest mapping etc as the "best" ecu is only as good as the person mapping it.

for a budget you can try megasquirt but you really need to be better than a keen solderer to get one built and running sweet for a long time ;)

Buy MegaSquirt, but from a supplier than can build it for you.

Then you just join a few wires, and get it mapped ;)

"then get it mapped" easier said than done....
Lots of palces still wont touch MS.
Like i said, goto the place you want to have the mapping done and ask them what system they prefer that way you ge tthe best possible support you can for that given ecu etc.

some people simply cant do it properly though ;)

ive been doing it off an on for a few years and do some parts daily at work and id still never be cocky enough to say i can fully map someones car for them...

Been reading quite a bit on mega squirt, using a wideband lambda, the megatune program can then sort you a basic map automatically, by reading values from the lambda etc.

Whether to trust the map it makes tho.... Lol

thats another thing, the fuelling is " a piece of piss" to do comapred to mapping the ign... something MOST people are very wary of

id personally use a Weber adjustable reg that is fitted ot the cossie. OR and SARD... search on mig for info ;)

wouldnt touch an FSE for anything other than carbs. Wouldnt fancy my chances with that dual rate thing either. but thats personal preference.
