Sender unit on SRI

Hi, my fuel gauge is not workin on my sri, i have changed the actual gauge itself in my clocks, and it still is'nt working, this means the sender unit must be faulty, question is, is the sender unit easy to change with the tank still on the car?, as it looks like the rear axle might be in the way.

fairly easy job, just make sure there's hardly any petrol in it first

my petrol tank went last week i took the tank off and changed it over to the 1 i was puttin in. i was there for an hour tryin to get it in cause of the swirl pot inside then my bro come along and got it in, in 10 seconds so there must be a certain way of gettin it in
