TV and the Nurburgring in one week!!

Not many of the new members know me or the car as i stay up in the sticks in scotland. Thought i would put a post up about my car.

Firstly I got a feaure in Total Vauxhall, some of you may have bought the mag it was on page 44. I was very pleased about it, the pics were great and the write up about me and the car was spot on. There were some boyracer type phrases that im realy not keen on but hey. Its amamzing how many people from this site have txt me saying you look gay with hair.

Secondly me and afew mates went off to the Nurburgring. Its a fair treck from near Edinburgh so we decided to take the Ferry from Newcastle to Amsterdam.
There was my car a Sierra, 325i, CRX v-tec and an Astra coupe the other car a Punto Gt never made it out of West Lothian, with a big fuel tank leak.

So we made it to newcastle with only the Punto breaking. The ferry was huge and afew nice wee birds on it!! As you know us scottish boys dont hold back!! So we had abit of a riot on the ferry. The next morning i was cleaning my car in the car deck ready to get driving and i went to the toilet and got locked out of the car deck. As you can imagine i was ****ting myself. The keys were in the car and it was holding everyone up from getting off the boat. Im managed to get sort of escape door open and run to the car, nearly being run down buy a primera of all cars!!

From amsterdam to the ring was a 5 hour dive but we did it no bother. So the Nurburgring itself, was a place!! Everyone that can speak english will chat to you and ask about the car etc. Its such a friendly place. We got settled in the hotel for the next day of driving.

We all did atleast 4 laps of the ring, and i was the only one with the problem. The exhaust cracked because the centre hanger snaped under the temp. Only two of the guys lost it on corners. The 325i spun it and went backwards at 80 mph at the corner we called Audi (as there was a Audi badge painted on it). The astra coupe basiclly understeered around the crack with the TC light always on, he lost it at Hocheichen.

We all did some good times around the track i got a 9 min 40, i thought was good as i only went around 4 times. But my car is so much better around the track than i was. It was incredable. All in all, i pasted afew faster cars than me and got passed by every motorbike ever built.

The ferry trip on the way home was only alittle bit less stressfull. But there were not any nice young laddies to keep us busy. Just grannys hunting for a bargin in the duty frees.

I have missed so many things out, it was such a great holiday. Was a laugh from start to finnish and what a place the ring is.

Anyway cheers for looking. Also if anyone is interested in my car its now up for sale. :eek:

Cheers guys, yeh as Ad says its is that car!!

I had to clean the car in a multi storey car park as i wanted it clean and that was the only place nearby the Falkrik Wheel. It rained most of the day on teh photoshoot, even snowed for a very short time. This was anoying as the car has never been in the rain in 2 years lol. Take a age to clean the underside up again.

Nah stu my intention was to get the feature done and keep it atleast for another year but im realy looking to get a new car so might aswell get rid now. Need something with better modding potential!!

Cracking TV feature, nice too see a Nova in there, instead of the usual :)
Looks like you had a good time at the 'Ring' too, out of interest, how did it roughly cost to go? (if you don't mind me asking)
Also, what rocker cover is on your car? My GTE had the '1.6 Injection' sort of printed on, yours is pressed into it...
