I am considering letting the Astra 888 go as it does not get used enough!
I have only covered about 2,400 miles since I bought it and the total mileage is only at 3,850 miles. Yes you read that right...3,850 miles!
I bought the car from its first lets say mature owner who kept it garaged from new and only covered 1440 dry miles in his 2 year & 8 months or so of ownership. It was bought brand new with ?1,000 worth of Irmscher extras including sports mirrors, front grille, twin headlights & door lock buttons.
I have done very little to the car apart from keeping it immaculately clean and a 6 monthly oil change with Vauxhall fully synthetic oil btween main dealer servicing. Original 888 filter is still fitted.
Cambelt, rollers & waterpump replaced at last service by main dealer
It has just under 12 months MOT which it flew through, the tester could not believe how clean it was.
I have fitted a set of Iridium plugs, Courtenay silicone hoses & a Vectra inlet pipe for the airbox but the engine is otherwise standard(Although it feels a lot quicker than a standard turbo)
The Irmscher lights have been upgraded to Xenon(HID) units from Hella which look identicle to the Irmscher units. The rear lights have been replaced with Lexmaul jewel lights(Look like standard tinted lights but with clear indicator lens)
I am reluctant to sell but I do not use the car enough as I got a company car just after buying the Astra hence the low mileage.
The bodywork & wheels have been Supagarded & the car has always been handwashed, its never been through a car wash or had wheel cleaner or acid put on the alloys.
The wheels are in mint condition and have not faded like they normally do and it still has the original Michelin PS1's which are like brand new.
I was going to waxoyl it last summer but had it on the 2 poster and it covered in the stuff underneath already
The seats have always had covers over them so they are immaculate and the steering wheel is mint and not faded on the alcantara.
I have the bookpack including the 888 supplement, the sign off certificate, brochure and an original showroom poster as well. I also have the original sales reciept and all other invoices for service work and parts/accessories
I have checked the build number with 888 and it is number 9
I am a perfectionist and I cannot fault this car, its like brand new and prob one of the best examples of this very rare car.
