My dads 1.7TD engine looks very similar to my own 1.5 TD does anyone know if there are any major differences in the engines cos i'm considering putting a 1.7td engine in my car. installation guide if possible!!!

hhmm, id take some measurements. See if it has the same physical dimensions, Or get the haynes for both engines and find out. see if the 1.7 uses the same box as the 1.5. If it can just put the 1.7 in the 1.5 box!!
Fueling will be the same, if its the same dimensions the exhaust should fit, not sure about throttle cable, probly different if its off a different car but easily sorted!
If the box wont fit ul probly have the fun with driveshafts and gettin the engine to fit!!

i just spent all day fixing my 17td

how hard can it be to change a turbo lol
my dad bought me a brand knew haynes manuel and i didnt even look at it (to proud lol,)
