no spark

im useing my spi coil with a 1400sr, the starter is working but there is no spark from the coil,
does anyone know what can cause this? also the coil has been sitting not in use for about 10 months. if thats any problem!:tard:

Im not sure you can use the SPI coil, as SPI relies on the hallsensor to switch the HT circuit on/off.
If you have a 1400SR you wont have a hall sensor.

Check the connections at the coil.
You should have a ign12v,earth, and green(rev signal)
Check with a multi meter to see if you get 12v at the 12v connection.
