as stated, the guy who delivered my engine left this with me ? ive never seen 1 before so i stumped as to where it goes/what it does ?

its a equal length shaft off a cav/ calibra, the long shaft on these has two, both of equal length. No good to you in a nova though.

Is the other one iac valve?? or omega secondary water pump??? Are the hoses water hoses??
yes there water hoses, the engine was (apparently) out of a H-plate calibre
Calibra v6? some v6 cars had an auxilliary pump i think.
Don't think the aux water pump was standard fit on xe, may be wrong though. think vehicles equipped with a/c had it.

Controls the idle speed lol
On a xe its fitted down the back of the inlet, and has a pipe on it from the SFI box.
