Park up under a streetlight, at night with sidelights on, then get a pic from the lower drivers side front without a flash :thumb:

Thats what i did and it looked kewl as penguins pish :thumb: lol

Love the first photo but it would have been a bit better if you'd of kicked the cardboard drinks thingy at the bottom out of the way.

Iainel, also for the top photo I'd advise putting some fill in flash from a Metz gun just to lift it slightly and enhance the detail in the lines.

Ste, Like the composition of your shots. gives a different aesthetic to car imagery, just looks like you didn't have the best day for it.

Certainly some good starting points here. If anyone wants any pointers then give me a shout.

Tip, buy a circular polarising filter as it reduces the chance of you being seen as a reflection in the paintwork for close up shots.

had some good ones of mine, but the best one i had turned out to be the worst as there was a part that over exposed which got me angry, just got to play with the settings and put the flash on the tripod and move it around the car etc, can get some good pics if you use 2 flashes,

Nope that works, gives it a stealth feel to the image.

Aye, using a flash so the foreground object is not dark compared to the background! :D Pics were taken using a borrowed compact camera (so doubt a flash gun would fit?) but will be buying my own soon. :cool:

you can use a flashgun with a compact by using the compact's flash with black electricians tape more or less covering it only leaving a small gap to trigger a peanut slave on the main flash gun.
When you looking at cameras give me a shout and I'll see what I can recommend.

It's a little camera club, but certainly a major leap in terms of car photography. I think that the backdrop could do with being brought out a litlle more. As the subject is working against the surroundings as opposed to being supported by them.

im loving that euro nova!!!!whats it worth to have a car as mint as that?

also going back to photography you need to take alot of photos to get a good one. if you take a pic of a car you wanna try and make sure nothing else catches your eye ie a branch or anything obviopus in the background. thats my opinion anyway!
