View Full Version : turbo hubs
howdifficult is it to fit 5stud calibra turbo hubs to a mk1 nova? cheers
Rears just the same as doing a normal rear disc conversion but using the parts from a V6 Cav.
Fronts, 2 ways of doing it ... either machine the 5 stud hubs down to match the Nova hubs, then they'll fit in the standard Nova bearing or get the steering knuckles machined to fit larger (Group A / Golf syncro (?)) bearings then the standard 5 stud hub fits in without the need of any (well just a very smal bit) machining.
Bare in mind you'll have to use big CV's on the front end.

would turbo rears work? or does it have to be v6 mate?
No as the Turbo stuff is 4wd, its gotta be from the V6 Cav, Vectra stuff fits as well but takes abit more work to fit !!
I used Vectra rear hubs / stub axles & Calibra Turbo calipers and done the fronts by machining out the steering knuckles to fit the bigger bearings then using the standard 5 stud Calibra hub, had to machine a small amount off the inside of the hub to clear the circlip that holds the bearing in.
