I thought the 1.8 was big block, and a few cm's wider!!! cant u just use the whole engine?

is it worth puttin in the whole engine or should i stick to the 1.6 GSi with these planned mods:

Skimmed and polished head + rally cam
bored out 1.8
5th injector
maybe twin webers
janspeed manifold
powerflow twin 4" backbox

i nunno let me think...:-/

1.8 head wont go on, and using the whole engine isnt that good as the extra weight outways the 15ish bhp that you will gain. 5th injector would not be worth it on a lightly modded car, and if you want Webers, injection would go anyway.

15bhp isn't worth the engine swop

I didn't think the 1.6 GSi block could be bored out more than 1.67?
