trying to replace stanerd arial as current one is buggerd, dose the lad form the wing run to the head unit ? and will i need to take head unit out the replace the arlile ?

look in your drivers side wheel arch, theres a plastic oval panel with two screws, one in the top and one in the bottom.

Undo an remove from car and hey presto, un-plug ariel and refit new one!

Take out the head unit and unplug it first so you can pull it through. You might want to attach a piece of wire/string to the 'inside the car' end of the aerial to guide the new one back in with.
The wheel arch plate is sometimes hard to get off if its rusted in. If you are removing from a scrapyard car, try unscrewing it first but if its rusted you can bend the inner arch out of the way for more access.
