well a 1.4sr gets 2bhp over a 1.3sr so...
a 1.2sr should be 68bhp ish
p.s. you'll need the 1.3sr gearbox too

that 68bhp for the 1.2sr would go to about 72+ with the re-jetted carb & K&N thought wouldn't it?

And wouldn't the 1.2 gearbox be a better option? (because if u put a gearboxfrom a smaller car in a big powered car isn't it supposed to make it quicker?) Ste?

why not fit the 1.3 pistons as well

then u might make it a sr engine!!!

or why not just not bother and chuck a 1.3/1.4 lump in? prob less work!

how easy is it to fit an SR engine into a 1.2mk1?-what else do I need appart from the engine(and probably anti rollbars)-I was thinking about mating it up with a gte gear box?

Most mk2 1.2's are 1.2i anyways, so your gunna have trouble fitting some the above parts to a 1.2i engine.
Before u say it cambridge, i know u r one of the few people that possess a rare carbed mk2, so dont say it! :D
