wires from what and where did they go on the 1.3?

You refferring to the bit of loom from the coil and ignition chip and the earthing wire that clips on the back of the dizzy module?

mini loom- i mean plug to fit coil

from the plug there's 4 wires (off the top of me head)
not sure where they should go to
one is green think rev counter
there must be positive and a negative
also it must go to the ignition shouldn't it?

actually your right two wires go to another plug that think connect to dizzy?

i think i'm short of an ignition chip somewhere???

these two wire should have a black L shaped clip on one end

and the chip is under the coil fixed to the coil mounting bracket

yeah 4 connectors on the "loom"

two are like injector connectors and they go to the coil and dizzy. then one nice fat git of one that goes to the module that bolts under the coil. then your left with a 3 way plug that has Green, Black and Brown wires.

Green = Tacho
Black = Sw Live
Brown = Earth

think i got all the wrong stuff!!!
when i ordered the parts from vauxhall i asked for sr parts
think i've been given sri dizzy, cap and coil.
also my "loom" sounds different.

the dizzy doesn't have spring and weights inside.
and there are no connections to attach the wires to the dizzy
the coil has for connectors and hole for the 5th HT lead
the loom plugs onto this coil and has black,red, green and thin back can't see any module anywhere
any ideas?

You'll know if its the right type of dizzy, it should have that vacuum advance unit on the top of the dizzy as in Stu's pics.
Injection dizzys dont have that on,
