Hi guys,

I'll shortly be changing my 1.2 carbbed nova's fuel tank to a GTE one for my 1.6 upgrade but just wanted to check a few things.

I have the external fuel pump and tank but wondered whether I needed to change the fuel lines - eg do you need bigger ones or will the standard 1.2 ones do?

If you need to change them anyone know where you can get fuel lines from (except Vauxhall).

iirc the carb lines are low pressure,
on gtes and gsi, they have metal fuel lines,

later fuel injected novas (eg 1.2 and 1.4 spi) had larger bore plastic fuel lines with flared ends on, try and find a set of these, or try your local motor factors for some large diameter metal pipe (i managed to find a roll of 20 metres for about 15 quid) and then get the ends flared with brake flaring tool or similar, so the pipes don't blow off under pressure. imo i'd use the metal ones

AFAIK we didn't change the fuel lines on my girlfriends 1200 carb > 1600 GTE..

Go to B&Q plumbing section and get some 8mm microbore copper pipe. easy to work with and cheap.
