at the mo iv got size 40 chokes in my webers which i know is too big. what i want to know is will haveing too big chokes cause it to run rich all the time or just while the choke is on?

All the time.
The chokes reduce the amount of air allowed in so they dont overfuel smaller cc engines.

erm didnt even think you could get 40mm chokes for T40's......

if you can and you have them, then if guess it will make it run peaky as feck and be really gutless low down the rev range

pretty sure thats whats stamped on them.
think ill book it in to get em set up then go from there

get em out and take a picture of the choke number.
