Now based on the latest stepper motor technology, it can be switched for input pulses per mile/km and features an LCD odometer with resettable trip function

and this is the sender for it

Sounds like it just runs off an electronic pulse signal.

That sender is nothing like what fits in a GM box tho.

As above, thats a bit newer electronical one, you want the old crappy magnetic mechanical one! Lol

Yeh just need the mechanical driven one i think, ive never really looked much behind my dash but im guessing as its a pretty simple car it would be the mechanical driven one if your really interested in using and eletrical one i think the new astras use electrical type speedos??? I dunno?! Lol

Some corsas, tigras etc use electronic speedos.

Basically they just run off a speed transducer same as what a digidash uses.

Easy peasy. Dan runs one, he just mounted the sender unit via a custom bracket he made to the gearbox, and the magnet attached to the inner CV.

Although that magnet looks heyowge!
