Hi all
Just got GSi back yesterday from body shop, just been delocked and had door pins removed. What I thought would be a good idea is to put LED's where the door pins used to be, as seen on some Audi's etc. Problem is I don't know where to buy them and I wouldn't know how to wire them up to the alarm (clifford concept300). Would I be best taking it to a specialist company, ie unicar or giving it a go myself. Anyone done this before, or anyone who can help, I would appreciate it v much.

Cheers. Mike C

You can get the LED's from Maplin Electronics, they do some 8mm and 10mm and flashing ones, you will need an led holder thing aswell, Fit an 180 ohm resistor in line to prevent the LED blowing. As for wiring it woul be best to wire a relay to the ignition so when you turn the engine off the LED comes on.

there are ones all over the country. they do mail order too but its cheaper to get to a shop. no P&P :). go to www.maplin.co.uk to find a store near you. i think some of the flashing ones come with the resistor in already. Just ask the nerd behind the counter lol

Clifford LEDs will fit and clip straight in the hole left by the door pins. they cost ?12 each. Go to the place that wired your alarm and get them to wire them up so they function as normal. Wont cost too much.:)
