Ideas please

ive made a scuttle cover from checker plate aluminium. Wondering how people have held these up in the past. it sits pretty nicely on the lip of the top of the bulkhead but is loose and rattle at the back, just need it steadied/solidified,

Make some brackets, then weld some nuts to the back and bolt it on?

Riv nuts. Rivets with an internal thread. Damn handy.
