hye is there any difference in mounts between the c20let and the ecotec turbo engine??? and whats the difference in power gains? are they worth while?? and are they a good engine? are there any other difficulties in wiring these into a nova??? and what is the downpipe like is it ok to be re welded to the nova system??? just over all is it a good idea for an engine swap
i always thought it would be difficult to wire them into a nova ?? havent they got all this fancy wiring nowadays ? :tard:
can remember when the new vectra came out, i was working at a garage and 1 came in for a towbar to be fitted, got the towbar bolted up and set about wiring the plug up. flicked the sidelights on, got me tester out and began poking wires, ended up buggering the ecu...... the boot lights and the number plate lights were on constantly :wtf: also no interior lights would work or sidelights but the front and rear fogs would !
and for the costs involved im sure its better value to rebuild a LET ?
highly likely that some of the ecu will be on CAN and they generally fail all kinds of functionality if there is no can network to talk at.
mind you saying that you can always jsut fit an aftermarket ecu and be done with that issue lol

Whats the difference is BHP figure's between C20LET and the eco turbo?
Whats different about the eco turbo and the LET?
I presume the block and maybe compression ratio is the same, is the head a different design from the c20let or the intake/injection system. I know the difference in the N/A eco and N/A Redtop is the Ecotec has a restrictive head compared to the redtop, the eco injection system is different and the redtop had a 4 branch, so probably the eco turbo has a different head the the c20let?

Z LET is better & more modern in terms of build quality etc. The old C LET is easier for old installations in Novas due to ECU issues etc.
Personally I'd choose a Z LET. However both engines are built to a price & werent designed as HIGH performance engines from the outset.
So they both feature the same flaws really.
I think he's talking about the really late C20LET's that had the black Ecotec plug cover? If so there is no difference in power and performance.

All UK LETS are the same.
I know, just that some late LETs came with an Ecotec plastic spark plug cover but most came with the normal Vauxhall DOHC 16v one. Some people assume these engines are different.
