PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE could someone help me with this as I cant seem to get a straight answer from anywhere!

Right, I have almost everything I need now to fit my twin carbs to my XE, except the dissy / coil setup...

I need some help with what bits I need...

I know its 1.6 Cav mk2 bits I need, but what years does the mk 2 Cav cover?

And what 1.6 engine is it that I need the bits from? SZ, NZ? (What is the difference?)

This dissy for the 75-81 Cav 1.6 looks totally wrong:

Where as these three look more like it:

Any differences between them?

Which one should I get?

What is the difference between dry type and wet type?

Coil wise, there seem to be a lot of different options:

The Nova style one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ignition-Coil-OPEL-MONZA-MANTA-Vauxhall-Cavalier-Nova_W0QQitemZ4651732053QQcategoryZ10404QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem

Please could someone tell me what I need!

I can't find the right bits anywhere, so need to buy new (well, recon.)

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for the long ramble by the way - but I need to get this sorted!

Mate, None of those dizzys are right. The one you need has 2 slotted holes to bolt the dizzy up to the head...

I have no pics of my blue one when it was fwd, as that had the correct setup....

I'm heading up the scrappy on sat, so if your not sorted by then, I'll have a gander (as i'm after another setup for myself).

As for coil though, any would work, but its best to get the one on the cav as it has the small bit of loom you need aswell.

btw....75-81 would have been that old rwd cav...so wrong ball-park.

One more thing I have come accross is the dissy I have got has a different end on it where it goes into the cam. (see pictures below)

Is this a normal problem?

Can I swap the ends over?
