i really really wouldnt unless you were into some crazy racing series.

about 305degrees is the sensible max you really need for road use. and even then its best to be on a solid valve train.

but hey your engine, your money.....

is there one in between the 305 and 285 then?

i want to get the most out of the engine as possible with out going solid.

piper BP300 works well.

also matt sav at QEP does catcams and they have a huge selection of cams/custom grinds available

again though consider how/where you will be driving it.... i mean Dan and Jims engines basically make the same power, but dans is a nice lazy engine whereas jims is a little peaky (still driveable though). Dan has the AST2 and jim has the BP300. so bigger dosent always mean better. Just potentially a peakier engine will be happier sitting at high revs on track etc where as the lazy one is more for B road blasting

yer i see where your coming from. i think im just going to have to see what the 285 is like when its fitted. its still got to be an everyday car aswell though.
