been lookin but cant find any close enough to where i live
Should be plenty of ebay, breakers yards.
The 2 litre engine will not be slow and will definitely have loads more torque than a GTE lump. This will require a bit more work than if you just replaced the GTE engine with a decent one, i suppose it depends on how skilled you are as a mechanic, or how deep your pockets are! Nowt wrong with a GTE lump, you might just have to travel for it!
two different types of 2.0 8v engine.... ones 115bhp and the other is 130bhp... your call i guess.
oh and the GTE/GSI shared the same engine till near the end of production where the GSI got what is now the 8v in the corsa (well i say now, i mean the corsa b)

thats 30bhp more then you had so it souldnt be slow.
Its also more weight and more work to fit.

I thought they had the same mounts, if your using the gsi tank you may have to use a pressure regualter or use a different pump as i am unaware of the 2l 8v having one, im not sure, but i thought the sv's were easy to fit?

have to weld up the engine bay,
custom drive shafts,
diff custom mounts,
uprated fuel pump
+ dont fit an 2L there so common its like getting pissed , drawing on your hand and giving your self a kiss :(
A replacement GTe engine would just fit straight in, a 2L 8v is a big block engine as hard to fit a XE.

Go for the 2ltr 8 valve... its a little different from all the XE's
