Masking tape?
at work (not tesco's) we use a silver tape, basiclly sticky tin foil but thicker, and then rub wax over it, but thats for crazy shapes, guess grease-proof will do fine. btw we tried masking tape, but never again.
A
Tin foil is supposidly the best, ive used it before now, hey wanna make 4 baxter and sell 2 to me?:p

Alternatly couldnt you stitch weld a sheet of metal and smooth of the edges with just filler?
or for a neater job weld from the inside and smooth in with filler, just an idea, i thought it sounded easier although metal might be a bit too flimsy
or spray the windows like some dope did round here!lol

you can get a mould release wax, either that or there is a special tape you can buy thats similar to duck tape but with a layer of wax on the back of it.
lol
tin foil's the easiest way.

what you need to do is-
1. clean the outside of the glass and dry.
2. apply a few layers of wax release agent with a spong.
3. apply a layer of gel coat (with a brush).
4. When the gel coat gels, brush with resin and apply a layer of matting. work in resin and apply a couple more layers.
5. leave over night then seperate the cast and glass (sprayin water or compressed air to help with seperation.
6. trim round the edges (using an angle grinder is so much easier)
Now you have your mould. repeat the process in the mould and youve got a panel, then keep repeating it and make some money!
Do it all in a well ventelated room or bad things will happen to you and beware of the dust, its also bad!

wont work as the metal would need a smooth bend in it like the windows:roll:
