help...! i'm stumped

hi,
i was driving my nova gte today and smelt a really strong fuel smell inside the car. when i looked at the fuel pump i noticed that there was fuel pouring out of what looked to be the pipe that goes from the fuel diaphragm damper to the pump. when i got home and took the pipe off i found that the metal tube had snapped off the damper unit...
i went to a motorfactors, and they laughed at me when i asked if i could order one...

what can i do? i need to get to work on monday morning, can i run the car without the damper? or does anyone know anywhere to get one or anyonbe selling one?

Dan it's a gte, Mpi not carb, have you a pic?

You'll be able to run it ok without the damper, i've ran mine in the past without one with no probs.
