As per title, im after a pair of opening rear windows for a Nova. I require all the rubber seals, hings etc etc.
Top price paid cash! :D

You need to go to Spain & enquire at el dealer.
I can find the part nos from an old PNG mag. I wouldnt hold my breath though.
Ive only ever known of 2 Novas with them. A mate of mine had a B reg Nova SR (badged OPEL) & a PNG member (Jason H) bought the bits from Spain whilst on holiday for his GSi.
Quite a bit of work to fit, grinding holes in window surrounds etc.

Can you get me the Part numbers please? Ive just emailed a mate of mine in Spain and asked him if he can get me the parts from a Spanish breakers yard (if there is such a thing??)
Problem being ill need autoglass or some one to get me replacement side windows with my Reg plate on so everything matches!
But any opening rear windows will do for now.

yeah but she gets her holiday, i get some beer and maybe just maybe get a cool nova mod...... failing that ill just buy a couple of sets of rear lights and sell euro style twin fog/reverse conversions

thats why i want them, because no1 else (bar 2 maybe 3 UK nova's have got them!) has got them!
Im well aware that there obselete parts now, but my mate lives in Spain so he's lookg for a set for me! Failing that im going on holiday.
Saying that, the last time i went on holiday i came back from the states with a 5.7ltr V8 in an air crate for my mates capri! :wtf:

Was available clear or bronze tinted (not green unfortunately)

Seal kit
Opening catches/latches
Hinges
The bits are available from vaux- the full kit will cost you about ?160+ (unless you know which bits to nab/modify from other cars.);)
Anyone care to help? EPC numbers etc?
EDIT: Two sets traced now and PMs sent ;)

Might be worth looking into using Hinge's/brackets etc from Mk1 Astra GTE - I seem to remember stripping one years ago and thinging they would fit a nova rear quarter glass !!!

well, i might have found a set for ?100 deliverd from Germany now :D
i was thinking E36 coupe or Escort RST window rubbers and astra GTE hinges but then theres the qeustion of getting holes drilled into tempered glass!
hmm i never bought a set of these but the price was abit high jsut to cut/grind my mint shell up for them not to fit right etc

wow you have been busy lol
From memory, and from when I had a vauxhall and the EPC was my bible, it was as follows.
Glass from Vauxhall- now bear in mind this was probably 4? years ago now... but the glass was still listed as available on the EPC in dealer in bronze and clear. Like a lot of parts it is probably listed as NLS now but check it out. the catch and seal and hinges from a nova were all listed as NLS- so i investigated the astra stuff.
I did actually try this back in my nova days- and managed to fit the catch and seal from a Mk1 ashtray GTE (shorten the seal as it is slightly longer) successfully into the nova- all of the holes were there in the nova already (mk2 SRi). I got the bits for pennies from a yard as a tester- It was all ready to go except the glass.
It was the hinges and seal kit from the astra that I priced and investigated at the time on the EPC with the help of the dealer. Needed a lot of delving into it though!
It did indeed price up to around ?160 for the lot using all new parts.
The only thing stopping me at the time was a) the price of the glass from vauxhall, b) it wasnt green tinted and c) selling the nova.
Probably pretty hard finding a mk1 gte breaker in a yard now, but 4 or 5 yrs ago there were loads.

not exactly, but i may be able to get my hands on a bronze tinted set from germany (bonus that i can speak and read german ;)) heheeh
oh yeah, anyone want some euro lights? i can get ****e loads for about ?10 per set ;)

As an addition to Freak's findings, Manta rear window hinges &/or seals may be usefull.
