problem with fan knob, after mk2 dash conversion

right i just wired up the fan control knob (middle one) but when i used to put it on full speed, you used to be able to hear it, but now iv put the mk2 dash in it doesnt realy change the speed, and you carnt hear it also.

what could this be? :confused:

how did u wire it cut an join both sets of wires or swap connector over ?

i got a feeling they where the same blocks so just connected the original one into the back of it.

i still need those bits mate, i'll pm you.

erm this is guess but a think the blocks are the same shape but 1 or two wires are either in different holes on the block or not there ,you wiil have to check the colours of the wires ,or an easier method would to run a fused live to the switch so the fan will work only full speed
