GSi engine into 1.2 shell

Would i need/be best to strengthen the engine bay at all? I don't plan on running the engine standard.

erm... you shoudn't have too i put a 2.0lr redtop into a 1.3sr Shell and it was fine ... a Gsi Engine going into a 1.2 shell should be ok .. ...

if you are planning on keeping the car and are looking for a big output i would say yes as a precaution but im sure theres loads of people who would disagree lol My mate had twin 40s and a kent cam on a 1.6 fiesta and his bulkhead was fuking up bigstyle but thats a ford for you!!
