Hi all:) , please forgive me if this is a repeat thread, i've had a look back through some old threads and i'm a bit confused? I have done a 2.0 8v conversion for a friend, running an f16 gearbox. It's all done now but went to fit the shafts together he supplied me with and they won't fit. Every conversion i've done before i've used a fitting kit of some description (pvd/mtech etc) which had shafts to take 2.0 inner AND outer cvs. He said that cav mk 2 1.6 inner cv's will fit his 1.2 shafts? Now i think that the splines are different, and that he needs possibly some gsi/gte shafts with different splines to fit his cav inner cv's, am i right?
I've phoned just novas today who wanted 210 quid for bare shafts , which i'm NOT prepared to pay :wtf: and the mtech ones come with hubs. So if i'm right, can anyone supply me with the correct splined nova driveshafts for my conversion? i've seen some people breaking gsi/gtes so can anyone help me? Thanks all in advance.:thumb:
