Hi

I do rallycross, normally in a 205, but since that isn't working at the mo i've borrowed a Nova. It hasn't been used for a while, and at its last event it had a big loss of power.

Now it revs low and is very flat, what do people suggest?

Ignition timing perhaps?

Please Please help if you can, I need it sorted by Friday!

Cheers
Hal Ridge

Its a 1.6 GTE, and pretty standard as for stock hatch rallycross.

Thought the pipe from the induction kit might be spilt, but don't think so!

I'm assuming ignition timing!

ignition timing is mostly govererned by the ECU is its unlikely needing adjusting, although the hall sensor can go faulty, but that usually dose'nt cause your prob, maninly causes engine not starting when warm or simlilar probs. Could quite possibly be an airleak, check all vacum pipes around the TB and so on, your engine may do or may not have a AFM, i think the later GSi engine had one tho. Also its worth lining up the cam and engine pulleys to check the timing
