http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d20/asj_car_sales/DSCF2093.jpgNova GSI 1.6, in metallic silver,

This car has been very well looked after, it has no rust and is very clean both inside and out. It has compomotive alloys, cd player, alarm it has been delocked, electric windows, sunroof and all the other GSi extras, this car also has a full 12 months MOT, it's VERY fast, the seats and interior is in immaculate condition no tears or rips. The car has just had a brand new engine, the suspension and brake components are all brand new. It is a very solid smooth drive and feels exactly how a GSi should feel. Call 07980098873 to test drive or for more info, thanks Stuart
Looking for offers around ?1500 thanks

abit strange when you say VERY fast. because i was told it had only done 84 miles after the re-build. surly you should leave it a few miles before you can thrash it?

No one said anything about being thrashed, just that this car is very fast....it is possible to know if a car is fast or not without thrashing it about....

Any chance of selling the wheels seperate if they are 16" mo's?

Lixen

well, i can try - the only thing is the car is selling on ebay at the moment, I will see what I can do and get back to you, how much would you offer for them? They were ?600, I've got the receipts for them, I think they are about a year old but in great condition...

Looks good car and a very reputable person on ebay...
Until I arrived...
Here are the pics of the car when I turned up!!!!
Drove a 800mile round trip, waited five hours outside, phoned and texted with still with no sign of the person. The car was sitting outside of the garage with fresh paint, had bits rust, massive over spray and worst of all a botched job of trying to paint an arch.

I would have bought the car just for the wheels and engine which I could have put in my girls corsa!

Looks like the other guy had the same problem with the blue one for sale as there is negative feedback against Majika GSI's ebay account.

so you would advise against bidding on any of his cars? do you have any more pics of it?

scottishnovagsi
27-06-06, 10:45 PM
I wouldn't, the guy who won the blue one is not picking it up the car as he had same kind of story but this time he was told before collection that it had bubbles on the arches.

More pics as asked... These where done on my phone, as wasn't expecting this problem.

A good side pic of the car but looking deeper shows not as clean.

Even wet silver and blue paint running through the drain, thought spray painting you needed proper ventilation!!!

Whilst we there waiting, my mate texted asking to do an engine conversion of which a reply was given.

If he had only answered or texted me back we would have come to an arrangement as the wheels could have went on my track car (I have a nova and corsa), engine/gearbox in my girls 1.2 corsa and shell used for what I wanted the car for in the first place complete valver conversion with chrome etc under the bonnet but completely standard and minted outside!

So it would have been well worth between 700/900 quid for just me doing that...

I took down with me GSi bumpers, side skirts and full minted interior on the basis of us doing a deal which we spoke about on the phone.

Anyway even my mate replied saying we would still be interested but again it all went quiet, so obviously he wants to sell the car as shown on ebay which he probably will be able to again if time was put into sorting the car out.

It will be interesting.

right then, had a good look around my mates GSi swap and they've done a good job - GSi engine and 4-1 manifold, supplied and fitted for 320, hes got a noisy tappet but theyve offered to change them for free !!

ste porter
06-07-06, 03:17 AM
r u sure its a noisey tappet and not a bearing loose on the hamster wheel that he replaced the internals with cause havving dealt with this guy i wouldent be surprised if he aint just left a socket in the rocker cover and it wouldent surprise me in the least if he dont replace the full set like your surposed 2 with tappets followers and liffters ect if u replace just 1 from another engine the wears gona be completly different and will broberly just cause even more problems the chances are that hes done a head gasket and either not primed them when he put them back in or put the whole cam assembly back in in a miss match order

i bought the silver nova over ebay without even going to look at it, stupid i know!

it was dark when i picked it up and it looked a very tidy car but as you all know, it isnt!

the alarm keeps going off all the time, so he removed the siren before selling it, the rear quarter is like sandpaper and has runs all down it, it had no heater controls or matrix but he did send me these through the post. there isnt even a cooling fan on it so it overheats in traffic, there was no air filter in the box, fuel gauge and oil gauga do not work properly, no timing belt covers, and the jetronic box f***ed up causing the fuel pump relay to blow, leaving me stranded in the middle of my town at midnight on a saturday!! there is also some dodgy welding on the o/s inner wing, and he swore blind that the car has never been welded!

so, all in all i paid a grand for half a bloody nova. but to be honest it is quite a solid car exept the dodgy welding and the rear quarter, shouldnt take much to sort out - i hope!!

This is an old thread I know, but I was looking on Gumtree and there was a Nova GSi for sale in Belfast, with the picture at the top of this thread listed.

I cant post the link, but if you go to Gumtree Belfast, Cars for Sale and type in Nova, you will see it.

Do you think this is the same guy, or is it maybe just someone who has stick on a generic GSi picture (it is the first one you get when searching through Google)

Any help much appreciated. I'm not a Vauxhall nut or a Nova nut, but I do valeting/detailing and I want a car to use as a show car basically and thought a nice neat GSi would look the business.

Thanks,

William

IIRC that car was a botched and a rotter repair. (Could be wrong) What I do know though is majikagsi or wtf he's called is not to be trusted mate. Google him if you want more info on his dealings.

As you say, it's possible it's just a generic pic in the Gumtree ad. but it wouldn't have hurt them to mention that. Email him and ask if it's that exact car etc.

If it is I would stay well away. Anything that is related to him should be avoided at all costs.

I'm sure others will reply here with more accurate info. CBA reading back through the thread lol

http://belfast.gumtree.com/belfast/20/34012820.html The Gumtree ad.

Sounds like the same BS from the same guy? In the original ad. on here it's had a full new engine, and in the Gumtree ad. a top end rebuild. Also mentions Astra GSi wheels and in the pic is on Comps. Nothing adds up!

Thanks for checking that out. That's why I came on here - see I wouldn't know the difference between GSi wheels and Compomotives. At the same time though, it could just be that he has used the first picture he found (which still seems a little un-trustworthy anyway) - just thought the description (especially the top end rebuild) sounded too similar to what is on here.

The internet is great like - look at what I've found out already. Maybe he is living in Belfast. Maybe I could track him down and "accidentally" tell you lot where to find him

LOL I have no personal issues with the guy but have read horror stories about his engine 'conversions' etc.

I'm sure there's a few people that would like to have a word with him dude! If it is the car in the pic. It's strange to think he has kept it all this time and not managed to rob some other poor buyer!

Agreed on the net. If you have the time and patience there's a lot to be learned lol

Just went on to Piston Heads there - same car, different picture angles, different location - somewhere in England I think. He's looking 1300-1400 on Pistonheads (5 weeks ago) and 800 on Gumtree Belfast.

So, basically this guy has advertised a car in Belfast, using your picture. He has also advertised the same car, with different pictures, in England. Both advert descriptions are the same, but there are different numbers, etc. I have emailed him asking why, cos want to make sure it is this scumbag before reporting it, in case it is just someone who has made a mistake in posting.
