rev counter on mk1

right ive got a rev counter off an old car of mine and i wanna know if it will go onto the mk1. im just baffled about where the sender wire goes or whateva its called (green 1 i think) is it still possible without it having an ecu cheers 4 any info

The green goes to the coil neg terminal. the wires should already be in and sitting with the clock wiring. You don't need an ECU to run.
