Uprgrading to an SR engine

I currently have a 1.2 carb fed 1988 Merit, can I simply swap over a 1.3 carb fed SR engine, or will I need to change anything in the enigne bay or transmission (fuel lines, driveshafts, electric bits...)?

Should be fine, the only thing you might have a problem with is the dizzy, it'll fit or it wont, so get the one that came with the 1.3 if possible. Everything else is fine.

Mint, cheers lads. If the change does go ahead, I'll inform the DVLA and my next tax disc letter (when the tax runs out) will be adjusted accordingly?

Tax wont change as there both under 1598cc.
Just change the engine number and cc, and then they'll send a new V5.
