Tyres - go for Toyo T1-Rs at www.mytyres.co.uk , you will come across other tyres in the same size there too.

Yes, they are very good in the rain on a light car like a Nova, Fi**ta, Golf mk2 or even a 306, which you'll be glad of when the summers over. Dry grip is also excellent as its a soft compound tyre. They don't last as long as say a Pirelli p6000, but they are cheaper (the 195 50 15 is even cheaper) which is a good trade off. They will outlast soft budgets such as Kuhmos, Nankangs or any other Johnny Wongs however, which don't compare in any way to Toyos.

eagle F1's are good. a bit more money than the Toyos, but i managed to get 25K from a pair of back tyres on an omega..

:thumb: I'm on about 27k on my front F1s, they've only recently started to get a bit hairy as well. Falken FK451s are good, I've got a pair on the back and they've not once let go; also got some of the newer FK452 on the 18s waiting to go on, the tread looks better but I've not had a chance to test them yet.

Apparently some of the new Kumho tyres are supposed to be very good...

I run firestone firehawk tz200's, very happy with them, especially on country lanes when giving it berrys on inconsistent tarmac and mud. Now done 6000 miles on them and the fronts are only half-worn.
