i took all my install out tuesday, tonite following a mate i thought we were going straight on at a roundabout so i hit it at about 50+ish (dogdy digi dash reading probs) but we were turning right - blox, normally with the weight over the back it might just of made it round, but with no weight in the back, it lifted of and guess what - lift-off oversteer, nearly **** a brick. got straight on it, but it was close. surprised how much differant weight disurbution makes, just seems funny it kinda handled better with more weight. hey-ho

You think thats bad, wait til you get a car with power to the rear wheels. Then the fun begins :D

so does mine! Theres bugger all in the back of it! Not even a spare wheel. Just two seats and a dashboard is all you want for a nice good rant down the roads by me & jbobo that lead out to cannock and staffordshire! :thumb:

yer they like to oversteer on liftoff, i came drifting round the corner near my house, that was fun!

when i slammedthe rear of mine, it handled loads better just stuck to the road. well it would of if they where proper springs or coilovers.

i carnt wait to get a mk2 escort one day lol

yea i think its because i was just used to having the weight, was loads of fun - hella of a rush.

306's are known for lift-off oversteer, i think its a trailing rear arm/torsion bar thing, isnt it?

I removed all my sound system from the ( now sold sob ) Nova and it handled wickedly ...mind you twas only a little 1.2 and the system was big enuff to keep a motorhead fan happy.....
I really notice the difference when carrying passengers an all....I took a couple home from a birthday bash 2 weeks back ...my mate is at least 19st and his wife about 15st...what with me n the missus , 14st ( and her - darent ask her wieght ) the old bus pulled a bit sluggish . But , I have to admit when it got going the speed built up nicely .The brakes however certainly struggled .
Bloody pie addicts.
