hello all

ive been reading about the camber mod after lowering. The one about drilling the top strut mounting holes 7mm out for a 60mm drop. is this also the same for a corsa b?

And i dont have access to a welder, so i was thinking if a used a strut brace after redrilling the holes and tightening it all up, would this work???

thx

Yes it works.
7mm for a 60mm drop, from the centre of the original hole, but you will need weld a washer to make the hole, as 7mm from the hole will just leave you with a slot.

i'v got a strutbrace on mine, would i still be able to do this camber mod?

and i take it its the 2 bolts that you move?

Ye, just redrill the strut brace with new holes too.
I've done that.

yes it works done it to mine...

and lew - if its an adjustable strut brace you wont need to drill that

will there be any need to weld on the washers if the strut brace is adjustable? because its not going to move anywhere if its fully lengthened.

i'd still do it, cost **** all to weld a washer on

My strut brace is adjustable, but i still had to drill holes, they wouldn't quite fit in the original holes.
You might be ok tho.

adjustable you can change the lengh on them, not sure why you had to re-drill it

just to make this clear for every one else, but to re-drill the holes 7mm, towards the wings or the engine bay.

thanks

nah ste mines a solid sparco brace mate, but when i do it i'll just be drill the hole.

is the 7mm a good distance then, i want to get coilovers soon so aint sure what height it'll be, defo lower than it is now (40mm) os should i just wait till i get the coilover to drill the holes?

Thats something im definately going to look into for mine because im fed up of her eating toyo`s lol, but surely the top of the strut will pushed out of place by the original hole in the middle of the strut top, wont it?
And if so how is this problem corrected as i cant see boring the main hole out by 7mm having much left to support the strut itself?
Ive probably just confused everyone (including myself) but had to ask lol cheers guys!!

if i lower a corsa gsi -45mm, will i have to drill out the top mounts 5.5mm? because ive heard the gsi is 15mm lower. so, 15 + 45 = 60, so will i have to drill it out 7mm??
