Mars Engine

Hello all!
I own an Opel Ascona-C 1.6 (model 1986) with the 16SH engine. Mother Opel has equipped it with the Rochester Varajet II carburetor and because I did not agree :) I replaced it with the Weber 32/34 DMTL. Now if I'm not wrong the correct calibration for 1.6 engines is:

Primary:
Main jet 117
Air corrector jet 155
Emulsion tube F30
Idle jet 55

Secondary:
Main jet 110
Air corrector jet 165
Emulsion tube F25
Idle jet 60

Pump jet 45
Needle valve 175

Now here is the problem! No gear, 1st gear and 2nd gear all go pretty fast (faster than the Varajet) to 7000 RPM and on if I continue pushing the motor (imminent blow up :) ). But, the 3rd, 4th and 5th gears go up to 5000 RPM and no more. Then the engine sounds something like a rev limiter is on and working. I have tried many different calibrations for the jets and the emulsion tube, working only on the secondary. I have gone up to:

Secondary:
Main jet 135
Air corrector jet 200
Emulsion tube F30
Idle jet 70 (progressive)

and still engine revs at 5000-5500 RPM at 3rd gear. Car load is only me at testing and the road is very slightly upward. At the same route the Varajet revved the engine at 3rd gear 7000 RPM and 4th gear at 5500 RPM. Car has lost about 20-30 km/h at the test route comparing it with the Varajet. I have also tried to play with the current advance but no luck!

Any ideas? May God bless the one who knows and helps! :)

Thanx in advance,
Mars
