does the corsa sri have the same engine as the nova sri as they r both 1.4 8v injection motors and i wudnt have though vauxhall would have changed them. the reason i ask this is that i have purchused one and need a replacement engine and have been offered one. thanks

Corsa 8valve SRi & Nova SRi are same c14se (iirc) engines

Early corsa Sri yeah /\

Mk3 astras also have the same engine, usually 1.4LS,GLS etc(the higher spec models)

thanks guys.gota find me an engine now that will drop strait into the corsa.cant be dealing choping up the mounts and changing the wires all over. thanks

You might find that the corsa engine and some of the astra engines will be DISpak instead of distributor ignition.
Try and get the same type as you have, as the loom/ecu will be different if you have a distributor engine and the replacement one is a DISpak engine.

agreed, forgot about that. Distrubutor (<sp?) 'less ignition system will be a harder to fit and take longer.
