16sv is same bottom end as a 1600gte/gsi, but the top end is very similar to a 1400 sr, square ports etc..
i wudnt bother puttin it in, i would wait for a gsi/gte, or change the top end at a later date
lol

as said the 16sv is the same block as the E16SE think the 16sv reaches around 84 bhp. Even with a 1.4sr engine you could easily make it produce that power. The E16SE (gsi) engine although reaches a much better 100bhp, the only difference in the 2 engines is that the GSi engine is feed by MPi and has a great flowing cylinder head along with larger valves than the sr's. Even the 14se the nova sri engine is quite quick, not too far behind the 1600, and these engines are easily found in early 8v sri corsa's and also late Mk3 Astra's for sure

also a side point is, some of the 14se astra engine's had a diz pack. I don't know if you can convert to a normal dizzy for later tunning, i.e T40s without an expensive management system. Or you could just change the cylinder head and coil and dizzy to the earlier 1.4 sri ones.

sorry one thing to mention is do not pay 150 quid for that engine. They're as common as muc, i would expect to pay over here around ?50 very max.

I've got nova GSi brakes on my SR and there alot better than the crappy old solid disc brake setup as i went through x2 front calipers in 4monts!
